Google AdSense - Earn Money From Your Website

Google is arguably the most popular website on the internet. With Google's AdSense program, Google allows you to earn money by placing ads on your website. The majority of Google's revenue comes from advertising. Search engines always have ads that are tagged by the specific keywords that you enter, and the ads appear along with the search results. You have probably seen Google ads everywhere - on people's blogs, websites, YouTube videos, the list is endless.
As a publisher, you could sign up to Google AdWords and set your own price to pay Google for when someone clicks on one of your ads that they have posted on a website.
On the other hand, there is Google AdSense. Google is always looking for target markets to match its current ads to in order to earn more money through advertising. Essentially, Google AdSense shares a portion of their revenue with webmasters - they need to provide their customers with a specific market for their ads: which is why keywords are so important.
If you own a website, you can sign up to Google AdSense. The key is to find a market so that Google AdSense can match ads with your site - so that you can make the maximum amount of money! For example, a site on website creation would only show ads on website creation etc. So when someone clicks on the ad, both the owner of the website and Google make money - so everybody wins!
Make sure your website is something that is in high demand, so that Google AdSense has ads that can be matched and bring you money.
Signing up to AdSense may take several days, so be patient! And don't worry if they reject you the first time. They give you suggestions on what changes you should make and once you have made them, you can resubmit your application to make it more friendly to their AdSense program! The more focused your website is, the higher the potential is for you to earn money.
One thing you must not do is to click on your own ads to earn money. Google AdSense monitors the IP addresses, so be very careful. If you click on your own ads, your account may get suspended.
If you are smart with using Google AdSense, you have the potential to earn a lot of money. A lot of people are funding their websites with the money they make from Google's AdSense program.

Google AdSense Income - AdSense Clicks, But No Earnings

Is Google AdSense Income is equal to the Income that you get from your Regular Daily Job? Can Google AdSense Earnings become your main source of income?
The answer for most of the people is NO. The ad sense income of many people doesn't even exceed $100 a month. You'll find fluctuations in your earnings if you work for Google AdSense. Sometimes a single click may give you $10 and sometimes even a thousand clicks won't get you $2 at least.
This is the actual reason why most of the people fear of taking Professional Blogging as their full-time career if they depend on AdSense as their main source of income. So they try to earn earnings using a combination of Google AdSense and affiliate marketing. Even though they are confident of getting a click every day, they are less confident of their earnings of that click.
Why Most People Say "AdSense clicks but No earnings"? What causes the difference in cost per click?
1. Non organic traffic (Traffic that comes from Referring Sites)
If you mostly rely on traffic from social bookmarking websites like Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon etc.., you will find that the click-through rate is very low. You may get 1000 visitors to your article, and only 2 clicks or even you get more clicks, the cost per click will be less compared to that of the traffic coming from Search Engines (Organic Traffic).
Reason: The actual fact here is, people coming from social bookmarking sites are used to watching advertisements. So they only scan your article and avoid clicking on the advertisement. So, the best traffic is always the Organic Traffic that comes from Search engines.
2. Countries of the Website Visitors
The visitors region also plays a major role in AdSense Income. If your visitors are mostly coming from the Far East countries, you'll notice that the average click earns less than $0.005. This is because the advertisers are less willing to pay for visitors coming from these areas (where people not willing to buy more/online). That is why you get less AdSense earnings per click.
So make sure you get visitors from the richest countries (Northern America and Europe), where the average click rate ranges from minimum of 20 cents to a maximum of $10 (sometimes even more) per click.
3. Content of your Website
As everyone say "Content is the King", content always play a big role in determining your Google AdSense income. The high paying AdSense keywords are usually insurance, banking and attorney related. But, If you love to talk about cats and dogs or your personal stuff, your articles may not have the potential to attract advertisers.
So It is better to focus on high paying AdSense niches as the clicks from those niche sites normally pay more.
Note: Try to write a niche that you are interested in rather than writing for niche that you're not familiar with or not interested. General and Entertainment blogs generally draw 1000s of visitors but the CPC of those websites is very low as the advertisers are less likely to bid high in these niches.
4. Domain Age
Google is unlikely to place expensive advertisements on a new website and so the new bloggers get paid very less for the clicks on their blogs. The age of the domain is the actual reason for this. The more old your domain, the more $ for your clicks.
Solution: Along with writing for your own blogs, also Write for Revenue sharing sites like HubPages, Squidoo... which normally pay more for your clicks. And another important thing here is you also get quality backlinks from these sites which adds more value to your blogs.
A Very few hardworking and creative bloggers and webmasters manage to make high earnings from Google AdSense. It is possible only if you work hard and be creative.
5. Ad Formats & Positioning of Advertisements
The Bigger the Ad, the more it is visible to the visitors. The first ad in your website always pays high. So try to place your first ad at the position where people will notice it.
Always remember that Google AdSense program is not a get rich quick scheme. The longer you stand, the higher it pays. Don't expect High earnings from Google AdSense in the beginning days itself unless you're writing for a High Paid AdSense Niche.

4 Key Ways To Keep Visitors Coming To Your Blog Site!

Blogging is a perfect way for people to share their thoughts with others. When people blog, it means they keep an updated online journal or diary. Weblog and blog are the same things. Companies might also blog to help increase the amount of business on their web sites. For many bloggers, increasing traffic to their blogs is not the only goal. Most people that blog want to keep their visitors coming back for more. The following are four ways to keep visitors coming to your blog site.

Blogging is a relatively new phenomenon. Some blog writes choose to keep their blogs personal and do not share their thoughts with others. These are more like online diaries. Other wants to share with everyone what he or she has to say. Blogging is a big business and many websites offer free blog hosting. In addition, many companies choose blogging as an inexpensive way to advertise their products or services. Blogging on the Internet is often much cheaper than maintaining a web site and is usually more interesting for readers and clients.

Update your blog:
The easiest way to keep visitors coming back to your blog site is to update your blog on a regular basis. Readers will stay loyal to blogs that are updated daily. Some blog writers even updated several times a day. Readers will tend to loose interest in your writing if they have to wait several days for new material. Be loyal to your readers and your readers will be loyal to your blog. Also, there are literally thousands of blogs available on the Internet. If your blog is not updated on a regular basis, you will loose your readers to another blog site. Another fun way to update your blog and keep your readers interested in your site is to include something fun for your readers to enjoy. That could be as simple as a joke or maybe a link to a humorous story you have found on the Internet. You might also try including a trivia game or polls for your readers to enjoy on a regular basis.

Participate in web communities:
Participating in web communities or discussion forums and mentioning your blog whenever possible will help keep readers coming back to your site. In addition, you can gain new readers when doing this. You can also be loyal to the blogs of other writers and ask them to visit your site. Leave nice comments about their site and invite them to your site. If you have mutual interests and the same type of readers, you can even share your blog links on your site. This helps everyone. Your reader will appreciate interesting reading while you benefit from readers from the other site.

Understand who reads your blogs: Another great way to keep blog readers coming back for more is to understand who reads your blog and write content that is directed towards them. This does not mean that you have to write on only one particular subject, though. If you are a stay at home mom and write about your life at home with the kids, your loyal readers may not appreciate it if you write about cutting edge topics or use a lot of foul language in your writing. If you generally write humor, do not bog your readers down with sorrowful woes and tales. Your readers will be interested in the things that attracted them to your site in the first place. That is usually what you are more interested in writing about. You can gain a better understanding of your readers interested by including places for comments and encouraging your readers to contact you by email.

Include keywords: You can gain readership and help keep your current readers by including certain keywords in your blog. If you have entered your blog on a search engine, these keywords that point to your blog will come up after a search. This is a great way to get readers interested in your blog. This is also a good way for companies to increase the traffic to their blog.

Blogging is the new way to keep a diary or journal online. Blogging is increasingly popular for companies as well. If you want to make your blog stand out against the thousands of other blogs, keep your readers interested and coming back for more everyday by updating your writing, participate in online communities, understand your readers and include keywords.

7 Key Ways to Increase Your Google Adsense Income

Let me share with you 7 key ways of increasing your Google Adsense income. Obviously you need to get more people to click on the links that you have on your site/blog. You have already researched your niche subject and worked out that the keywords pay reasonably well, so I am not going to go into that in this post. Once people are at your site you need to get them to click on the Google Adsense links.
Here are 7 key ways to increase the likelihood of someone clicking on a Google Adsense link on your site or blog and thus increasing your Google Adsense Income:
1. Make sure that you customise the colours and look of the Google Adsense code to blend in with the colours on your site/blog. I see so many sites and blogs that just put the Google Adsense code anywhere and they dont do anything with the colour scheme so the ads become an eyesore on the page. Most users these days are sick of ads as they get them on nearly every site. This is done within Googles site. Google gives you the choice of what colours to use. A very good way of making sure that you get the colours to blend in, is to use a program like Adobe Photoshop and by using its colour picker, you can get the exact colour code # to input into Google. Make sure the Adsense ads have the same background colour as your site or the place in your site that you will add the code. Try to also match the font colour with the surrounding pages colour.
2. Make sure you choose the Google Adsense format that blends well into your site/blog. Don't overdo it & put way too many links. You are probably thinking the more links the increased likelihood that someone will click on the link, but the opposite is usually true. If a visitor visits your site/blog only to be inundated by ads, the likelihood that the visitor will stay on your site dramatically decreases. The visitor is looking for good content/information about the topic they are interested in, they don't want to see a slew of ads.
3. A really excellent tip that has had a lot of success for me and many other internet marketers, is to add a picture next to each Adsense ad. Choose some small pictures that are related to the subject of your blog/site and add them next to each Adsense ad. This way the ads really blend into your site/blog.
4. Limit the number of Google Adsense ad blocks on any page/site. Once again, the last thing a visitor wants to see is a slew of ads all over the place. The maximum number should be two blocks of ads but really I think one is enough on any one page. You can, of course, have other ads from affiliate marketing programs or other banners on the same page as long as these are also blended in.
5. You can choose which ads are actually allowed to be displayed on your site. If you visit your site and it shows ads that are either from competitors or ads that you think would not be attractive to your visitors to click on, go back to Google's Adsense set up page and click on Competitive Ad Filter. In this page you can include a list of the domains that you do not want to see ads from. This can increase the clicks on your site especially if there are ads coming up for sites that aren't really related to the content of your page. This can happen if your sites content is a little confusing to Google's adbots. For example, I had a blog about debt consolidation & Google would sometimes display ads on how to consolidate your database, which was clearly not related to the subject and wouldn't get any visitors clicking on those links.
6. Use Google's Channel feature to track the success of your ads. Within Adsense Setup, you will notice a tab called Channels. This allows you to create different channels for each block of ads and on different pages/sites. You can track the success of how different ad formats on the same page, or different pages within your site or on different sites altogether. Using this tracking feature, you can then eliminate or modify the ads that are not working well for you and spend more time on the ones that are. This is a very important part of Google Adsense success but so many people are not using it.
7. A lot of people are missing out on some extra revenue that can be gained by including Adsense for Search on their site. Essentially Google allows you to add a search bar on your site that either searches the web, or both your site and the web. Any web results that come up through searches on this Google Search bar from your site, are actually paid ads and pay you money if users click on those links.
